Happy New Year Chanco families! Chanco’s 2012 camp dates have been set and can be found along with camper ages and session rates by clicking on the tab “Camp Chanco” and then “Summer Schedule/Cost”.  Registration will be live on the website by January 17th.  Check out our expanded ages for sessions to provide more flexibility in sending siblings together as well as flexibility in busy summer schedules.  Campers are grouped in campsite by age and gender and will thus spend the majority of the day with their same age cohorts, despite expanded ages in sessions.  Also, one week sessions will be available in Sessions 2,3 and 4 based upon availability.  Contact Camp Director, Jim Sitzler, at director@chanco.org or at 757-294-3012 to inquire about these one week options or with any questions.  You will not be able to register on line for a one week session within a two week session, but may be put on a list with the camp director and will be notified two weeks ahead of the session if the one week option is available.  Chanco anticipates record registrations and looks forward to our many returning campers as well as seeing new faces this summer!  Join us where kids come for summer fun!

It has been so cold here at Chanco. Our campers are beating back the frostbite with campfires and s’mores. Chanco is doing great beating the…cold……. What?….It helps to think positive.
