Camp Staff

Life as a summer camp counselor isn’t for everyone but it could be for you. Camp Chanco in a residential camping program for youth ages 8-18. Summer staff live at Chanco on the James for two months of the summer.  By living with your campers and fellow staff, you will build strong relationships and friendships that will last the rest of your life. Being a camp counselor is a lot of work and a lot more fun.  Counselors work together to develop creative programs and theme programs for our summer campers.

Camp Chanco offers as many opportunities for fun to its staff as it does for its campers. Being on staff will help to develop decision making skills and provide on outlet for creative thinking. If you are creative, love kids and are willing to work hard while having the time of your life then being a camp counselor might be for you!
