Cory is a 2012 graduate from James Madison University and this will be Cory’s fourth year serving on the Camp Chanco summer staff. Cory majored in biology with a dream to work in the marine biology field and research sea turtles. When asked why she wants to work at Chanco she reports, “I serve at Chanco because I love this place. It feels like my second home. Who wouldn’t want to work at a place where you feel so comfortable and with people who become a family? I want to pass this feeling on to all the campers and other staff members. Other than her plans to lead a strong staff and provide stellar camping programs for our campers, Cory has another goal. She plans to climb our 32-foot high rock-climbing wall for the first time! Cory shares, “One of my personal goals this summer is to climb the rock wall and face my fear. There is no place better to face fears than at camp.” Please join us in welcoming Cory to our 2013 camp leadership position.
