So, have you been reading our Chanco Chatter articles or following us on Facebook and think, “I wish there was something for adults at Chanco”? There is. Three times annually, Cursillo retreats are held at Chanco: a Men’s Cursillo weekend in the early spring, a Women’s weekend in the later spring, and a Coed Cursillo weekend in the fall. The weekends are four days in length and the weekends consist of self-reflection, prayer, large and small group discussion, music, worship, and fellowship. Cursillo is defined as a movement within the Episcopal Church designed to help us grow closer to Jesus Christ. It’s also a community where we’re encouraged to live joyfully and serve faithfully in grace. But it is truly more than that. It is an opportunity to deepen your faith, share it with others, and make new friends from throughout our diocese who share your passion for Christ. If any of this sounds inviting to you, please prayerfully consider attending a Cursillo weekend.
The next weekend will be a Coed event and is being held October 3-6, 2013 at Chanco. The Rector for the weekend is Stew Wolf. If you’d like further information about Cursillo, please visit their website at www.cursillodsv.org or feel free to contact Stew Wolf (email@example.com) if you have questions specific to attending the Coed Cursillo weekend in October. We would love to have you join our Cursillo community and hope to see you in October!
