Cursillo has a saying, “Make a friend, Be a friend, Bring a friend to Christ.” If you are a Cursillista, NOW is the time to live that mantra and invite a new friend to the Men’s Weekend upcoming April 9-12, 2015. Cursillo is a four-day retreat designed to help us live our faith more intentionally, learn new tools to strengthen our skills as a servant leader in our parish and community, and is a fantastic way to connect with new friends from throughout our diocese who share our Christian faith.
The world is much larger than our backyard, or our home parish, and there is no better way to widen our circle of Christian community than through a Cursillo weekend. As Cursillista Ames Herbert of Emmanuel, Franklin writes, “Hi All, as a many-team-timer, each weekend always seems fresh, new and wonderful. I am always amazed at the transformation that occurs with the candidates. Each of us has memories of the most special, most powerful ‘moments closest to Christ’ that occurred over the weekend, some with too many to recount. For me on this weekend, I was ‘called’ into service in many ways that had nothing to do with my role as warden, but everything to do with God’s plan for me. I am so grateful that I was there for HIM and for those that may have benefitted from whatever came from HIM through me. God Bless each of you.”
The Men’s Weekend is seeking candidates NOW for its upcoming weekend.
