Don’t miss Men’s Cursillo Weekend #156

Cursillo has a saying, “Make a friend, Be a friend, Bring a friend to Christ.” If you are a Cursillista, NOW is the time to live that mantra and invite a new friend to the Men’s Weekend upcoming April 9-12, 2015. Cursillo is a four-day retreat designed to help us live our faith more intentionally, learn new tools to strengthen our skills as a servant leader in our parish and community, and is a fantastic way to connect with new friends from throughout our diocese who share our Christian faith.IMG_3066

The world is much larger than our backyard, or our home parish, and there is no better way to widen our circle of Christian community than through a Cursillo weekend. As Cursillista Ames Herbert of Emmanuel, Franklin writes, “Hi All, as a many-team-timer, each weekend always seems fresh, new and wonderful.  I am always amazed at the transformation that occurs with the candidates.  Each of us has memories of the most special, most powerful ‘moments closest to Christ’ that occurred over the weekend, some with too many to recount.  For me on this weekend, I was ‘called’ into service in many ways that had nothing to do with my role as warden, but everything to do with God’s plan for me.  I am so grateful that I was there for HIM and for those that may have benefitted from whatever came from HIM through me. God Bless each of you.”

The Men’s Weekend is seeking candidates NOW for its upcoming weekend. If you are interested in attending, feel free to contact Rector of the Men’s Weekend, Richard Haus of Christ the King, Tabb at at rhaus25702@aol.com.  The Women’s Weekend #157 is being held April 23-26, 2015 and the Rector of this weekend is Julee Herbert of Emmanuel, Franklin. If you are interested in this weekend, please contact Julee at Jherbert@beldar.com. There will be a co-ed Cursillo Weekend #158 October 15-18, 2015 and the Rector of this weekend is Richard Toll and he can be reached at rtoll@cox.net. You may also visit the Cursillo website at www.cursillodsv.org for more information on any weekend and the Cursillo movement in general. Spring and fall are gorgeous times of year at Chanco and we hope to see you at one of these transformative adult retreat weekends!
