Camp 2012 Registration

Happy New Year Chanco families! Chanco’s 2012 camp dates have been set and can be found along with camper ages and session rates by clicking on the tab “Camp Chanco” and then “Summer Schedule/Cost”. Registration will be live on the website by January 17th. Check out our expanded ages for sessions to provide more flexibility in sending siblings together as well as flexibility in busy summer schedules. Campers are grouped in campsite by age and gender and will thus spend the majority of the day with their same age cohorts, despite expanded ages in sessions. Also, one week sessions will be available in Sessions 2,3 and 4 based upon availability. Contact Camp Director, Jim Sitzler, at director@chanco.org or at 757-294-3012 to inquire about these one week options or with any questions. You will not be able to register on line for a one week session within a two week session, but may be put on a list with the camp director and will be notified two weeks ahead of the session if the one week option is available. Chanco anticipates record registrations and looks forward to our many returning campers as well as seeing new faces this summer! Join us where kids come for summer fun!

It has been so cold here at Chanco. Our campers are beating back the frostbite with campfires and s’mores. Chanco is doing great beating the…cold……. What?….It helps to think positive.

It’s not too late to register for this fabulous family event! The July 1st registration deadline has been extended until July 13th. Come to Chanco on the James and “praise God with what you have!” Join us on July 15-17, 2011 for a weekend of music, movement, drama, painting and exuberant creativity. This wonderful retreat for individuals and families of all ages will include joyful music, meaningful worship, workshops for children, youth and adults AND fun for everyone! Questions? Happening is a Christian renewal weekend presented by teenagers for teenagers (grades 10-12) with the help of clergy and lay adult leadership. With another short Power Outage last night Chanco was able to still have Battle of the Bands and all programs went off without a hitch. With the session coming to a close we are trying to pack in as much fun as possible. Pick up times tommorrow are from 9:00am til Noon, but until then enjoy the new photos from the link below.
