Camper registrations this year are well ahead of this time last year with First Session girls, Mariner’s Camp and Session Three girls carrying wait lists! Wow! However, there are still a few Session Three (beginning July 13th) boys spaces available. Session Four (beginning July 27th) has about 20 spaces still left and Family Camp (beginning August 20th) registrations continue to roll in. So don’t wait! With registrations skyrocketing this year, NOW is the time to try Camp Chanco for the first time or as a seasoned Old Order of Chanco camper! Our camper families clearly know that Camp Chanco is the best summer camp in eastern Virginia (as voted by readers of Virginia Living magazine, May 2015)!
Our camp staff is having a blast with our campers thus far this summer. Maybe you have visited our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/chancoonthejames), this website or Instagram (@chanco.on.the.james) and have seen the many photos of our campers and staff kayaking, swimming, zip lining, laughing during relay races or courageously climbing the rock wall, the two line bridge, pamper pole or “dangling duo” team climb! Maybe you’ve seen photos of all the cool costumes and decorations during our Star Spangled Big Day or witnessed the community of chaplain time. Maybe you saw the smiles and laughter from an evening program such as Skit Night or a dance. If your camper has missed these astoundingly fun activities this year, never fear! There is still time. Don’t wait! Join us this summer for the summer memories of a lifetime. If you missed our open house dates and would like to see more about what happens at Chanco, click here for our new camp video full of fun photos to see all Chanco offers or on this website click “Camp Chanco” and then “photos” to see all the photos from this summer that are updated regularly.
